Downtown Ottawa Elopement Photos

I’m not sure who had more fun with these downtown Ottawa elopement photos; me or Shannon and Dom!!

From the minute I met these two, they had me smiling! Though we had been chatting for months on the phone and through email about taking these pre-elopment photos downtown, I hadn’t actually met these two until their session last week.

“I think you’ll recognize us right away”, she told me – and sure enough, as I waited outside the National Art Gallery on the chilly evening of their session, I noticed two impeccably dressed people walking towards me – Shannon, in a lace-embroidered high-low dress, with vintage suede gloves and a mink shawl; Dom in an all-black suit with matching silk tie.

These are the styles they’ll be wearing this week at their intimate elopement party, with a small group of friends and family. It’s going to be an amazing party, and I couldn’t be happier for these soon-to-be newlyweds!!

Who doesn’t love genuine vintage clothing! Shannon was a vision in her long suede gloves and vintage shawl!!

Ohh, this next one is one of my faves!!! That light and those smiles!! You guys make this look easy!!

A quick walk from the NAC to the Chateau Laurier, to a spot with the most perfect view at sunset!!

Shannon!! Dom!! I’m so happy for you and I’m excited that it’s finally the week of your elopement party!! Thank you for being such genuinely happy people and for making this session so much fun!! I loved touring the the NAC and Major’s Hill with you for these pre-elopement photos and I’ll be thinking of you guys this week!! Hope it’s the best party ever and wishing you a blessed marriage!!
