When Martine reached out to me about taking lifestyle maternity photos in her home in Ottawa, I was immediately on board!
I’ve known Martine for just over a year now, and through that time I’ve learned that she’s not only a beautiful person, but also has an amazing eye for fashion, is a fur-mama to her cream-coloured weiner dog – Maisie, a newlywed to her husband Zach, and that they recently moved into a single family home in Ottawa….You can see why I was so excited for this session!…The only obstacle? Furniture! Or lack of it…
Martine and Zach were mid renovations when she first reached out to me with news of her pregnancy, but their vision to create a bright and modern home came together just in time for these indoor maternity photos in Ottawa! And I mean that literally! With the floors having just been re-finished, and the trim-work having just been installed, I was amazed to see any furniture on their main floor at all! But they did it just in time (with a little help from their friends – thanks guys!!)…and…almost every light switch had a cover plate on it by the time we started the session (just kidding, Zach…you did GREAT, buddy – thanks for working SO hard to get your ground floor looking SO good)!!!
