Horse ranch wedding photos with a burgundy colour and floral theme
When I first heard about Kenzie’s parent’s property and Kenzie and Jay’s plans to celebrate their backyard wedding on their family’s horse farm, a vision of their day popped into my head. I imagined casual elegance, a pop-up tent, and quite obviously – after having met these two – a full-blown party with dancing and celebrations ALL. NIGHT. LONG. Wellllll, some of that was true (let me tell you right now, I have never seen a dance floor so packed with line dancers and people ready to have a good time)!…but boy, was I blown away by their reception plans! My vision of this ‘pop-up tent’ was squashed the minute I set foot on their family property…not only did they convert their horse riding arena into a full-fledge wedding reception room, they decorated it to the nines, with draped linens from the ceiling, fully-styled dinner tables for guests, a stocked bar with cold drinks, and a working crystal chandelier hanging from the top of the barn. In short, the most perfect place for this ‘horse girl’ and her new husband to celebrate their marriage with their closest friends and family.
My favourite thing about Kenzie and Jay’s horse farm wedding had to be the people in it. I remember walking in the door to Jay’s groom prep and instantly feeling like we were seeing an old friend again – I get the feeling that Jay just has that affect on people! And then just a few minutes later, we were in Kenzie’s childhood bedroom (which, we were told, had been decorated years ago with the idea in mind that maybe, just maybe, it might be the room where Kenzie would get into her wedding dress one day!) and meeting her parents and her best friends who made us feel so welcomed! I was even asked to drive their family car to the first look (haha, I guess I look trustworthy? – haha)! It’s clear that Kenzie and Jay and everyone who’s close to them in their life, make others around them feel welcomed, and I’ll never forget that feeling as I look through their wedding photos!
Oh, and my second favourite thing?…their flip cup grand entrance!…I meaaaan, how fun! And what a way to start the reception! Definitely a day for the memory bank! Love you all dearly!
