Playful lifestyle family photos on a sandy Ottawa beach
We’re back at the beach again for Sarah and her family’s Petrie Island newborn photos! Or, should I say “newborn” photos…thanks to the COVID lockdown, our plans to take baby Ellis’ newborn photos in April had to be postponed until the end of lockdown. 3 months later, I finally got to see this family of four at the sandy beaches of Petrie Island (a new favourite location for portraits!) and of course, I was SO happy to see all that sun and to get them these bright and airy lifestyle family photos on the beach!
It’s kind of crazy to believe that the first time I ever met Sarah and Harley’s oldest son, that we were on an airplane on our way to Costa Rica! At that point, he was only 6 weeks old (you should definitely check out the blog post from V+A’s Costa Rica Destination Wedding to see baby Murphy dressed in his Sunday best)! And now, 3 years later, he’s a mini version of his mom and dad, combined! He’s also got himself a little baby twin, with the birth of his sister (who looks SO much like the baby I remember spending a week with in Costa Rica!) and I had such a fun time taking photos with these two kiddos on the beach at Petrie Island!
Enjoy these Petrie Island newborn photos with one of the sweetest families I’ve had the pleasure to meet throughout my years of being a photographer! These make my heart so happy!
