he sand beneath their feet was a luxury that Canadians envy in the chill of Winter. As their plane took off from the snowy Ottawa airport towards the heat of Barbados, a solitaire diamond was stowed safely away in an inner compartment of Scott’s luggage. Though Sarah was suspicious of Scott’s overprotectiveness of his bags, the thought was soon swept from her mind as they walked onto the expansive shoreline of their Caribbean resort. It was on that beach that Scott asked his high school sweetheart to marry him, and where Sarah joyfully agreed to his proposal.
Sarah and Scott are marrying this month at the stunning Strathmere wedding venue in North Gower. They opted to have their engagement session at Britannia Beach; a subtle nod to their beach-side engagement in Barbados.

As if his sea-side proposal wasn’t romantic enough, Scott arranged to have their proposal photographed by friends on the trip, who waited nearby with their cameras. Now he’s a keeper!

I am eternally envious of Sarah’s curls. I cannot wait to see how she styles her hair on her wedding day!

Sarah didn’t need much to shine. With her Scott’s hand in hers, she glowed.

As the sun set on the Ottawa River, it cast an orange flare over everything it touched.

Being high school sweethearts, these two know just how to make each other laugh.

At the end of the session we took in the beautiful sunset overlooking Britannia Bay…

…and they took in each other.

Their wedding is in less than two weeks and it can’t come soon enough! Strathmere, here we come!!
