Camp Fortune wedding in Chelsea, Quebec
hey flew to Paris with relaxation on the agenda. It was to be a romantic trip away – just the two of them – and what better place to visit as a couple than the ‘city of love’. It therefore came as a surprise to them to learn that Jen’s luggage had been lost in transit and that she would have to go without it for at least the first few days of their holiday. Not exactly what they had planned, and definitely not what Ryan had planned for the day he was to propose. Pushing expectations aside, Ryan and Jen made their way to the Champ de Mars. It must have been a sight; the Eiffel Tower in the background, Jen – in Ryan’s borrowed t-shirt – and Ryan on one knee…but in that moment, the stress of the lost luggage was forgotten and Jen joyfully agreed to be his wife.
Turns out they didn’t need a suitcase of clothes and the perfect day they had planned…Turns out all they needed was each other.
Jen and Ryan were married this August at Camp Fortune on one of the most beautiful Summer days of the season. Full sun, a gentle breeze and the perfect light; perfection.

Visiting Camp Fortune without snow on the hill was quite a change from our typical view of this ski lodge. Turns out it’s no less beautiful and every bit as inviting.

These bridesmaids rocked their marsala dresses, and florals by Alta Vista Flowers brought together the perfect shades of green, blush and reds.

Exploring the property with Jen and Ryan was like catching up with old friends. These two can make you smile at a moments notice.

Inside the chalet you’ll find rustic ski decor, strings of Edison bulbs, and the most befitting pine roof that’ll leave you feeling cozy no matter the season.

The rest of the night was spent toasting to the bride and groom, and dancing under string lights. An absolute perfect ending to the perfect wedding day.

To the newlyweds, guests and staff at Camp Fortune, thank you for inviting me to celebrate with you and for a fantastic evening with laugher + dancing. You are truly appreciated! x
