A candid coffee date engagement session
he concert wasn’t until later that night, so Elena wasn’t sure why she had to get ready so early…She knew they had plans to go for dinner beforehand, but it still wouldn’t take them that long…would it? To burn some time, Nick and Elena decided to walk through Major Hill’s Park in downtown Ottawa, with a view overlooking the Rideau River. As they walked closer to parliament, Nick squinted off into the distance, and said “Hey! Look at that sparkle!!”…Elena turned her back to him and gazed off in the distance towards where he was pointing. Like something straight from a movie, Elena asked “what sparkle??”, and as she turned back around, she saw that Nick was down on one knee with an engagement ring in his hand. “This sparkle” he said, and the rest is history.
Elena and Nick are these kinds of people. Fun-loving, venturesome, and always up for a laugh. They’re the type of people who love living downtown and who love exploring the gems this city has to offer. For their engagement session, we decided to spend their time doing something they love to do on a typical weeknight: coffee, followed by a walk down to Dow’s Lake. This coffee date engagement session is one for the books!
We then took a walk down to Dow’s Lake, where these two can often be seen going for a run by the water or enjoying a walk through the park.
Girl, you were having a seriously good hair day!! Andreja of Boss Arts Salon & Spa has been doing Elena’s hair for years, and when she got engaged, she knew she had to have Andreja as her hairstylist. A huge shoutout and thanks to her for working her talents on Elena’s hair that afternoon.
I love when brides take advantage of their hair and makeup trials for their engagement session! Elena decided to have her makeup trial with Liana LaCroix Beauty right before this session, and I love how natural it looked!
