Alison and Jeremy were married at Stonefields Estate with pops of peach florals and with their two Bernese Mountain dogs as ring bearers! As a dog-friendly wedding venue in Ottawa, Stonefields adds one more reason to call it one of the best wedding venues in the Ottawa valley!
Their family describes them as ‘country-meets-city’; Alison, being raised as a city girl in Missisauga, and Jeremy living the rural life on a dairy farm. But it was clear from listening to the speeches during the reception that Alison took to the farm life after meeting and falling in love with Jeremy. Some of my favourite stories from the night were learning about Alison joining 4H, and that she not only showed her first calf at the Royal Winter Fair, but came first in the competition!
Some of my favourite memories from Alison and Jer’s wedding day were the fact that their two Bernese Mountain dogs were ring bearers at their ceremony; that she had a custom monogrammed Mrs. Box; and that they incorporated their own creativity and personality into the kissing game at dinner (see pictures below)!

The guys got ready across the laneway at the Badchild Pub while eating pizza and drinking cold beer (…and with just a little help from Youtube).
Alison and Jer decided to see each other before the ceremony in a private ‘first look’, before guests arrived.
This was my first time seeing the ceremony facing away from the Farmhouse, and it was beautiful! And speaking of beautiful, Alison coming down the aisle with her father was one of my favourite moments of the entire day!
Of all the upgrades and changes Stonefields have made to their property in 2018, I think this new outdoor bar might be a favourite amongst guests…
I spy Chalked by Mabz’ handiwork! One of my all-time fave Ottawa calligraphers!
This guy was the funniest emcee – complete with Mrs. Doubtfire impersonations, rhyming poems, and knee-slappin’ jokes all night long!
