Stef and Ben exchanged their vows in a downtown Ottawa wedding at St. Patrick’s Basilica, with three hundred of their closest friends in attendance.
Friends from childhood, hockey teammates, family members, new friends and old friends all gathered to celebrate their love. What followed was a wedding celebration at Delta Hotels Ottawa City Centre, with talent from the likes of Courtney Elizabeth Events, The Gathering Event Company, and The Happy Ever Crafter who transformed the hotel ballroom into the elegant vision Stef had been dreaming of!
This wedding – with its soft grey and neutral tones, trendsetting reception decor, and a traditional wedding ceremony – was a real dream to be a part of. Enjoy this sneak peak from Ben and Stef’s downtown Ottawa wedding!
Daddy-daughter first looks always melt my heart…
Ben is a pro-hockey player, so we knew there’d be plenty of hockey references throughout the day…some of my favourites being the ‘sock draft’ at groom prep (to decide who would be wearing which pair of socks, lol!) and the ‘championship photo’ later on in the day!
Getting married at St. Patrick’s Basilica is pretty popular amongst Stef’s group of friends, with friends’ past and future weddings being planned at this same venue! It’s a simply breathtaking church, but all eyes were on Stef as she walked down the aisle with her dad.

From the napkins, to the centrepieces, right down to the clear Chanel Chairs around each table; when your planner and decorator value even the smallest details, the result in pure magic!! Courtney Elizabeth Events and The Gathering Events Company transformed this ballroom into an elegant and modern dream wedding.
…and can we talk about the over 300 Chanel Chairs that filled this ballroom room…!!
