The trees are already starting to feel like Fall in these Ottawa Arboretum Engagement Photos!
If there’s one thing couples learn after spending time with me at a photo session, it’s that the first thing I look for is LIGHT. One tree in an open field can be magical if the light is right!! We found that perfect tree in the middle of the Ottawa Arboretum, where Christine and Jon brought energy, laughter and their puppy – Tulip – to their Ottawa Arboretum engagement photos!!
Choosing the Ottawa Arboretum as a location for photos was a decision that came easy! It was here – where they spend so much time walking Tulip – that Jon got down on one knee and surprised Christine with a diamond engagement ring! They’ll be getting married back at their hometown in Nova Scotia, with live music, close friends and lots of family! Knowing these two, it’ll be a celebration like no other!!
Enjoy some of my faves from Christine and Jon’s Ottawa Arboretum Engagement Photos!!
These two in this location!! It was hard to pick favourites for the blog!!
Wiggly puppies who can’t sit still are hilariously hard to photograph (…and here we were thinking a walk around the Arboretum before photos would tire Tulip out…!!)
This next wide shot is a fave!! That light through the trees!
Right next to the spot where Jon proposed!!
…see what I mean about that perfect light!! A final dip kiss at sunset is my favourite way to wrap up an engagement session!
Christine, Jon! It’s not often that I meet couples for the first time right before taking their picture (!!), but with you guys, our time together felt effortless! I feel like we became instant friends; as though we were just taking Tulip for a walk through the Arboretum! I’m stoked for all the wedding excitement coming your way (including talks of your live band!! – LOVE that that’s one of the first things you booked, lol!!) and I hope your celebrations are everything you dreamed of and more!! Thank you for the most perfect evening and for being such a lovely and easygoing couple!
Much love! And keep in touch!
