Engagement photos by the covered bridge in Wakefield, Quebec.
We sipped on Starbucks coffee and caught up on life on the drive up to Wakefield for their Fall engagement session. It was important to Alisha and Matt to have their engagement session in Wakefield, Quebec, because it’s here – surrounded by the Gatineau River and covered bridge – that Matt proposed. The Fall colours made the incredible landscape surrounding the Fairbairn Heritage Centre more beautiful than ever, and our walk down to the water was the perfect way to enjoy the season.
This was my first time back to Wakefield since the steam engine was in service (over 5 years ago!!), and it was a joy to tour the area with two people who have such an emotional tie to the covered bridge. Enjoy, as you browse the gallery from this Wakefield engagement session!

After we’d finish walking the trail along the Fairbairn Centre, we made our way down to the covered bridge by the Gatineau River. It was surreal to walk down those stairs to the exact place where Matt had asked Alisha to marry him earlier last year.

Ohh, you two make me smile! What a way to end the session! x

Alisha and Matt! Catching up with you at the session and over coffee on the way up was totally the highlight of my week. I’ll be counting down the days to the NeXT time we see each other, in July ;) Keep in touch + much love! A
