I met up with Laura and Adrien in Chelsea, Quebec for their Gatineau Park Engagement Photos.
Specifically, we met at the Gatineau Park Visitor’s Centre in Chelsea (NOT the Welcome Centre along the Gatineau Parkway, right guys? ;) haha…), where the sun was peaking perfectly above the tree line.
This was my second time meeting these two – the first time being over coffee when we first started talking about their wedding – but our conversations have always flown easily. Laura and Adrien have felt like friends from the start, which made their engagement photos in the Gatineau Hills feel more like play than work.
If there’s one thing couples learn after a photo session with me, it’s that the first thing I look for in a portrait location is LIGHT. We found the perfect slice of light along a snow-lined path in the Gatineau Hills, where Laura and Adrien brought energy, love, and laughter to their Gatineau Park engagement photos!!
…and did I mention they brought their dog, Simon??…I want to hug him tight, with that checkered blue neck-tie; the cutest!!
Fun fact (which I learned from Laura at the session!!): did you know that you can take *FREE* guided snowshoe tours in the Gatineau Park from January-March, ANNNND, they even provide you with snowshoes!! I’m officially adding this to our 2019 to-do list!

Laura; Adrien: Thanks, you two for making this first engagement session of Spring 2018 feel like a walk in the park (ohhh, pun SO intended). With Summer-like temperatures, and Simon there for company, it honestly felt as tho we were just heading into the Hills for a walk with friends in the Gatineau Park. Thank you for the most perfect evening and for being such a lovely and easygoing couple! Makes me even more excited to be celebrating your Royal Ottawa Golf Club wedding in just a few months time!!
