I’ve been really looking forward to taking these newborn pictures in Aylmer with Charlie and her family, ever since she reached out about booking a lifestyle newborn session! If you missed part one of their time behind my lens (i.e. Charlie’s maternity photos!) then totally check out their Aylmer Marina maternity photos that we did earlier this summer! Beach sessions and in-home newborn sessions are some of my favourite things to photograph, and it’s a little heartbreaking to know that summer is coming to an end and we’ll have to wait over half a year to get back on the beaches again and celebrate new babies and families!

Also, good thing you can’t get baby fever while you already have a baby in your belly (I’m 34-weeks pregnant, for anyone who missed our news), ’cause I’m just swooning over how cute these photos of baby Alison are! And it was so fun finding out that Charlie – a fellow wedding photographer – was also pregnant at the same time as me! Tho of course, there are ‘rules’ about how early you can/should tell people about your pregnancy, so I remember being on the edge of my seat and SO wishing I could say “me too” after she told me about her news!! I actually have quite a few friends who are pregnant this summer, and as each one has their own babies, it makes it feel like my own pregnancy timeline is becoming SO much closer to delivery date! That might explain why I spent all of last weekend organizing baby furniture and setting up bedrooms for the new baby (nesting, anyone)?
