ebruary is the month of love. A time to celebrate those things that make our heart skip a beat: a love for a spouse, for a friend, or in this case, a celebration for love itself. Having been originally inspired by lace linens and by the love associated with the month of February, Lux Event Rental brought together some of the leading vendors in the Ottawa wedding industry. Rich greenery and #marsala are still perfectly on trend for the 2016 wedding season, and what better way to celebrate these themes than a styled shoot, inspired by colours that evoke romance, passion, and love.
This wedding inspiration took place in the luxurious, Restaurant 18 – in the heart of the ByWard Market. Enjoy as you scroll through this marsala-inspired gallery.
Another on-trend statement for the upcoming wedding season is laser-cut envelopes. Just look at the detail in these floral invitations by Paper and Pearls.

l’Orangerie Ottawa brought texture and rustic romance to this marsala-inspired boutonniere.

Many thanks to L’hexagone for making a statement with this velvet marsala bowtie. A rarity and an absolute pleasure to see on our groom.

The look of the day was pulled together with the stunning illusion-neckline dress from With Love Bridal Boutique. A brand new dress to the boutique, and an absolute show-stopper.

Lux Event Rental pulled together the rich colours and lace – which inspired this session – into a gorgeous tablescape.

From the unique apple seating cards, to the satin napkins and silver candle holders; this table was designed to impress any guest.

A floral centrepiece by l’Orangerie Ottawa brought delicacy and elegance back to the grey-stone room.

And to tie it all together, a cake by the marvellous, Osso Sweet, brought this wedding inspiration full circle: a pop of a marsala on the sugar flower + the elegance of the intricate lace detail on the icing. For you, and all the other incredible vendors who collaborated, I thank you. x
