The drive up to Cindy and JM’s Mackenzie King Estate engagement session was out-of-this-world pretty! It’s hard to beat that feeling of nature, the sun shining through the trees, and winding roads with cyclists on every bend…ok, ok…jokes on that last one…passing cyclists got a bit dodgy once the bike paths ended, but it was hard to not admire that we were sharing that same view of the Gatineau Hills together! That scenic drive is enough to get us coming back to the Gatineau Park time after time, but the final destination of the Mackenzie King Estate made that trip even sweeter!!
When asking JM and Cindy why they chose Mackenzie King Estate for their engagement photos, their answer was simple: they wanted somewhere with both a historical significance (JM being the history buff that he is!) and a view of nature. What better fit that this 231-hectare country estate, filled with historical ruins, freshly manicured gardens, and year-round walking trails!
There’s only one thing I love more than engagement sessions on a bright and sunny evening…and that’s walking away from a session feeling like I’ve made two new friends! Counting down the days ’till their wedding day next Fall (376 to be precise)!! In the meantime, enjoy this glimpse into their Mackenzie King Estate engagement photos in Chelsea, QC!!

Countdown is on!!
xo, A.

I’ve never been to the Mackenzie King Estate but it looks like this place was made for this couple. Amy, your pictures are so nice. It’s refreshing to see this level of thoughtfulness in photography work.
