he lecture hall echoed with the sounds of rustling paper, murmuring voices, and scraping chairs. Kara sat in the crowd of her university classroom, with her glasses perched on the bridge of her nose and a pen at the ready. Nearby, Phil waited patiently, unknowing that the woman who would one day be his wife was sitting only a few chairs away. Though he had noticed her throughout the semester, they kept their distance and maintained a professional relationship as classmates and friends.
Years later, their fate reconnected again while Kara browsed casually through a list of bachelors on an online dating site. She recognized Phil’s smiling face instantly as the man who could make her laugh, even through the often-dry course material of a university classroom. After reconnecting, she was impressed to learn that he was still perusing his love for metal music and that he was the same kind hearted and passionate man she had known years earlier.
Kara and Phil were recently engaged and they graciously welcomed me into their brand new home, where we began our session.

Next, we were off to Mer Bleue Bog: a beautiful conservation area in the national capital Greenbelt that is wonderfully unique to Ottawa.

The day was slightly overcast, which made this June afternoon feel lovely and cool.

Kara, you’re absolutely stunning!

The boardwalk was such a unique location! Surrounded by tall greenery and the calls of the diverse wildlife that live along the trail. It’s like a mini oasis, only 20 minutes from the heart of Ottawa.

I’ll end with this photo of Kara and Phil as their happiness is contagious!

I simply can’t wait for their November wedding!
