Mill Street Brew Pub Wedding Photos

When brides think about getting married in the Fall, they picture the day that Lindsay and Brendan had for their Fall wedding ceremony at Rockcliffe Pavillion and reception at Mill Street Pub!

The maple trees had just turned that perfect shade of yellow, and the sun was shining down on the Pavilion and surrounding lookouts. Families had gathered in Rockcliffe Park to enjoy the day outside, and peered through the Pavilion to watch as Lindsay and Brendan exchanged their vows.

And if the great weather wasn’t enough, their Mill Street Pub wedding reception in Ottawa was filled with all the details, people, and love you need to make the perfect wedding day! Home baked cookies from Lindsay’s aunt, custom calligraphy signage by Whole Hearted Home Designs, and thrifted milk glass vases were just some of my favourite touches to their reception decor!

Enjoy this sneak peek from Lindsay + Brendan’s Rockcliffe Pavilion and Mill Street Pub wedding!!

Brendan’s Irish claddagh ring is said to represent friendship, love and loyalty…

…depending how you wear the ring will also show the relationship status of the wearer (single, taken, engaged, married), with the heart being worn ‘point down’ on the left hand showing the wearer is married! Sweet, right!

Lindsay and her girls got ready at the Albert at Bay Hotel in downtown Ottawa.

A quick drive through downtown Ottawa, and we were at Rockcliffe Pavilion for the wedding ceremony.

When your brother is a musician and leaves a tour to play at your wedding…!! Thanks Blair Hogan + Ken Workman for the great live ceremony music! Can you please make weddings a regular gig??

These soft light florals by Flowers Talk Tivoli were some of my favourites ever!

And those royal blue suits from Morris Formalwear were picture perfect with the Fall foliage!

Remember the symbolism behind the claddagh ring? Left hand, heart ‘point down’; yepp, he’s a married man!

Guests gathered upstairs at Mill Street Brew Pub for the wedding reception.

A ‘cookie bar’ with to-go bags for after the reception. How perfectly sweet is this! Thanks ‘Aunt Jenny’ for baking over 200 cookies!!

Custom calligraphy by Whole Hearted Home Designs filled the venue and it was glorious!

I’ll wrap up this post with a few faves from the newlyweds’ first dance to Angel Eyes, by Jeff Healey. It was a goodie and this song will always remind me of these two in this moment!

Lindsay! Brendan! Thank you for inviting us to celebrate this day with you!  Twenty two degrees, warm sunshine, and Fall foliage – could we have asked for a more perfect Fall wedding day?? Congratulations on these new beginnings and thanks for being the lovely, joyful, caring and thoughtful couple that you are! xo, A + S!
