Sparklers + lace at the Orange Art Gallery Wedding
hen I first arrived to Sarah’s morning of bride prep, I introduced myself to her three bridesmaids and casually made smalltalk about the things that would unfold that day for their Orange Art Gallery wedding. It was around that time that Sarah’s sister brought up the alarming fact that their dog had been sprayed by a skunk earlier that week…now I’m telling you this for a reason, because – you see – we both had skunk on our minds…
…Imagine our surprise then, when during bride prep outside, a small black animal with a white tail bolted from under the fence and made a direct b-line towards Sarah and the girls getting ready…There was a moment of panic, followed by 5 sudden screams of terror as we all suddenly believed Sarah and her pristine Truvelle wedding gown were about to be doused in skunk spray…
To set your mind at ease, “the skunk” was later seen climbing a tree and was determined to be a squirrel with a white tail – phew – but it sure did get our hearts racing and left us with some funny memories of bridal prep that morning.
Sarah and Kevin, thank you for inviting us to be a part of your wedding day at the Orange Art Gallery. This was such a unique environment to celebrate a wedding and it was so perfectly you! I couldn’t be more excited to share these images from your wedding day with you, and I hope they bring back all the fun memories of your colourful wedding day!

It was around this time that the skunk fiasco – described above – took place. It certainly lightened the mood and had us laughing about it all day long!

Sarah’s custom lace top from Maureen Patricia was a one-of-a-kind beauty – Much like the woman who wore it!

A few minutes away, Kevin waited along the shore of the Ottawa River for his first look with his bride...

Most guests had never been to an Orange Art Gallery wedding before, and we were all blown away by the uniqueness of the property.

The ceremony room was cozy and intimate, and filled to capacity with their closest friends and family.

Guests enjoyed catering by Thyme and Again, as they browsed the artwork within the gallery. There were paintings, sculptures and unbelievable works of art in every room.

Guests mingled throughout the 5 main rooms of the gallery, but all eyes were on Sarah and Kevin for their first dance as husband and wife.

And what better way to end this post than a sparkler exit outside of the Orange Art Gallery! Now that’s how to make an exit!

To the newlyweds, guests and all vendors at Orange Art Gallery, thank you for inviting me to celebrate with you while browsing the fabulous artwork in the gallery. It was truly beautiful! x
