Ottawa newborn photography at home with a baby boy

One of my favourite parts of taking in-home newborn photos is the sneak peek I get to share with families shortly after their session. Especially with this family, who I’ve come to know and adore over the past few years of photographing their engagement photos at Mackenzie King Estate, and their maternity photos in downtown Ottawa. Even with all the gorgeous photos we took at those shoots (no seriously, go check them out – Cindy and JM are fire on camera!), Cindy still describes this preview from their in-home newborn session as her “fav sneak peek yet”! I mean how could they not be – their baby boy – Lucas – is so precious and small, and he looked like a little model doll in their arms!

These moments are so fleeting and I love that Cindy and JM will get to look back at these photos one day in disbelief that their little man fit so snugly in their hands (I mean look at that first photo and tell me they won’t ball in 10 years from now 😭 ).
