Courtney and Darrell were the sweetest pair at their Ottawa University engagement photos.
When it comes to exploring downtown Ottawa, Major’s Hill, Parliament Hill and the area surrounding the Chateau Laurier are all popular locations for engagement sessions, and I spent a lot of time there in the summer…the Ottawa U campus on the other hand is almost all new to me! So who better to show me around than these university graduates! Of course the main purpose of our visit that day was for their Ottawa University engagement photos, but it was fun hearing all about the changes and upgrades that have been made since the time these two were regulars. Spaces that were once parking lots were now paved over and pedestrian-friendly, and buildings that were once…umm, a bit rough around the edges…now had a welcoming charm!!
All of these updates, and the fact that both Courtney and Darrell both went to school at Ottawa University made it the perfect place to visit for their engagement photos! Add in a gorgeous sunset and a trip down to my favourite spot along the Rideau Canal locks, and you’ve got yourself the perfect backdrop for engagement photos!!
Courtney, Darrel, it was fun to go back to your old stomping grounds for these Ottawa University engagement photos!! Thank you for giving me the guided tour of your campus and for making the posing part of this session feel so effortless!! This right here is one of my favourite spots in the city!! How Ottawa U students aren’t tempted to hang out by the locks everyday instead of going to class is beyond me!! ;)
I have a sweet spot in my heart for oval engagement rings. Courtney’s ring with its white gold and classic bridge is a beauty!!
