Amelia and Dan’s Stonefields Inn Wedding was celebrated on the newly-landscaped front lawn of Stonefields Estate!!
Some of my favourite memories from this day were the THREE (yes, three!!) first look moments that were planned throughout the day. First, with when Amelia’s bridesmaids saw her for the first time as a bride; followed shortly by a first look between Amelia and Dan; and finally an emotional daddy/daughter first look before guests arrived. It’s no secret that I love first looks, and each moment was exciting, sweet and so full of love!
Their ceremony took place on the new concrete pad in front of the old Farmhouse! This is another new addition to the Stonefields property (on top of the other new features I’ve mentioned previously!!), and is another shining example of how this venue goes above and beyond for their guests! What was once a grassy area with uneven terrain is now a smooth wheelchair-friendly surface; meaning all guests can more-easily navigate the Stonefields Inn wedding ceremony site. From a photography perspective, the light-coloured surface also makes it a welcome addition for bright and airy wedding photos too!!
Some of the most thoughtful details of the day included custom signage (all DIY’d by the bride herself!!), hand written letters (delivered – of course – by the bride’s helpful niece!!), a wedding cake made by the groom’s sister, and handmade wooden boxes full of florals for each centrepiece. Every element of their day had a personal touch, and I love how family came together to help Amelia and Dan decorate their dream venue!
Amelia, Dan!! I hope you loved every minute of your wedding day!! These photos are a reminder of a beautiful day spent with friends and family, and I hope the details in this post bring you right back!! Never stop being the happy people that you are and spreading joy to those around you! We love you for it, and we’re SO excited to see you so happy as husband and wife!! Much love!! xo, A.
Groom prep at Stonefields usually takes place right across the laneway in the ‘Badchild Pub’. If you follow Stonefields on Instagram, you might have recently read that this building is named after the english translation of the owners’ last name: – Steve and Stephanie Malenfant! = ‘Badchild’!! *mind blown*
Amelia’s niece was their flower girl, and a huge part of what went on that day! They joked that the whole wedding actually revolved around her (lol!) so it was precious to see her deliver a letter from Amelia to Dan to read that morning!
One of my favourite parts of any wedding day is when a couple sees each other for the first time as a ‘bride’ and ‘groom’! Dan and Amelia had a private first look near the back barns of the Stonefields property.
Remember I said Amelia had three ‘first looks’!! Here’s one of those special moments with her daddy by the Stonefields Loft.
Guests were greeted to their unplugged ceremony with music from a live harpist!! I’ve never heard anything so beautiful!!
Annnnnd, speaking of amazing moments during the ceremony…
Cheers!! They’re married!!
After a warm cocktail hour outside, guests were ushered into The Loft to find their seat for the wedding party’s grand entrance!
Sunset portraits at the magical ‘golden hour’ make the me the happiest photographer!! But it’s the people in these photos that make the images!!
When the sun finally set (and I say finally because we’re in June and the sun sets SUPER late right now – score!!) the DJ opened the dance floor and the partying began!!
I’ll finish this post with the couple’s first dance as husband and wife. Sparklers, your favourite people, and a romantic song. A beautiful end to this magical day!
Looking through these photos makes me SO excited to see even more footage from Amelia and Dan’s wedding through video!! My dear friends over at Up North Wedding Films were an actual dream to work with!! See Amelia and Dan’s wedding video at Stonefields here!!:
