he air conditioning worked in overtime to compensate for the warm Summer air and a room full of people. Sarah prepared for her day in a small room at Strathmere, while her bridesmaids surrounded her with words of encouragement. As she was zipped into her dress, they quite literally applauded her beauty and swooned over her final look. They had all known Sarah for most of their lives, and this moment – of seeing their friend about to marry her high school sweetheart – was a celebration that was years in the making.
Sarah and Scott, I wish you nothing but love and happiness as you begin your life as husband and wife. Being surrounded by people who love and support you made me realize how lucky I am to be a wedding photographer and to be pursuing a career full of happy people in love. Much appreciation. x
Her bridesmaids were SO much fun to be around! They helped liven the atmosphere with inside jokes, music and laughter…
…and they loved every minute of helping Sarah into her dress.
Sarah’s sister helped polish off her look with jewelry by Sarah Walsh Bridal.
Outside, Scott waited for his bride under a wooden arbor.
They opted to see each other before the Ceremony so they could have a private moment together, away from onlooking guests.
The freedom to react naturally to seeing each other for the first time is my favourite reason to have a ‘first look’.
She literally wore that smile all day.
Scott looked dapper in his grey suit and boutonnière by Flower Essence…
…and Sarah’s flowers looked and smelled heavenly.
If there were ever a textbook example of the perfect bridal party, these ladies would be it.
Like an 80’s hairstyle, this image is all business in the front and party in the back.
The Ceremony took place at the Garden House at Strathmere.
Sarah radiated happiness as she walked down the aisle.
And Scott never took his eyes off of her.
A lifetime of promises, symbolized in two pieces of jewelry. So romantic.
When possible, I like to document the ‘first kiss’ from behind the alter to capture the reactions of the onlooking guests. Such a happy moment!
Officially Mr. and Mrs!
I couldn’t get enough of the bunting cake topper on their wedding cake.
A brilliant alternative to a guest book…
When the sun went down, the DJ cranked the music into high gear.
Remember what I said about the incredible bridesmaids? Well they kept the dance floor alive all night long.
And these two young men had everyone in awe of their dance moves.
This series of images makes me so happy. Suspense, followed by disbelief…
Their wedding ended under a string of white lights on a warm summer night. A perfect ending to the perfect wedding day.
Thank you to all the vendors who helped make this wedding such a success!
