Strathmere Inn Wedding Photos

Tblackhough the day was hot, a thick canopy of trees sheltered the ceremony from the heat of the midday sun. A warm breeze blew through the alter and across the onlooking guests who waited patiently for the bride to make her appearance. Smooth chords of a violin and cello drifted along with the warmth, as Sarah walked out from the Inn. This was a moment years in the making, and as Jason walked forward to accept his bride, the next stage in their lives together was about to begin.

Jason and Sarah, your wedding day was magical. From the moment I saw your first woodland animal I knew your day would be incredible, but I only realized how perfect it was after seeing the love and support from your family and guests. Thank you for inviting me to be a part of your day, and for showing us how special even the smallest details can be on a wedding day.

Sarah’s strapless A-line gown from ‘All That Glitters Bridal’ was simply divine.

Hints of white and dusty rose filled their day.

Everywhere you looked there was personalized signage, all custom designed by one of Sarah’s family members.

There was a pronounced ‘woodland theme’ to the day, which meant that these little characters could be found throughout the wedding:

This window is one of my favourite locations in all of Strathmere, but Sarah brought the beauty of the room to a whole new level.

Though Jason’s room was just a few doors down from Sarah’s, they resisted the temptation to see each other before the Ceremony.

Delicate chords of violin and cello escorted Sarah and her father down the aisle.

The outdoor ceremony was in an intimate wooded area of Strathmere.

Vows and promises, sealed with a kiss…

Sarah, you make one beautiful bride!

Sarah’s maid of honour is also her sister-in-law and best friend. I can think of no person more deserving to be by her side.

A rich bouquet of delicate roses and Dusty Miller paired perfectly with the bridesmaids dress.

Jason’s boutonniere added a punch of texture to his grey suit.

While we were off taking photos, guests mingled in the ‘Bear Lounge’, ‘Fox’s Den’ and ‘ Squirrel’s Nest’ for cocktail hour.

A ‘cupcake tree’! I see what you did there…

The Reception was complete with unexpected speeches, tears, and laugher, but above all: a love and respect for the newlyweds.

I’ll finish this post with one of my favourites from the day. Nothing beats this kind of love.
