Taylor and Josh’s Strathmere Lodge Wedding was a day I’ve been looking forward to ever since we first exchanged e-mails back in early 2018!! What caught my attention right away was that it was Josh – the groom – who reached out to me first through e-mail (99% of the time, it’s the bride who e-mails me first)!! What this said to me was that Josh and Taylor had a partnership and that they were approaching the (daunting!!) task of planning a wedding day together. As I got to know them it became clear that they were this supportive of each other in everything they do in life: from Josh’s cross country bike rides; to accepting the cat life and adopting 4 furbabies; and moving together across Ontario to start new jobs in Ottawa. They approach life together as a pair, which is such a powerful foundation for entering into a marriage!
What I loved most about Taylor and Josh’s wedding was how much it felt like them: from Taylor’s Lillian West wedding dress; to the growlers that decorated their tables in the Strathmere Lodge; and their first dance under the string lights outside. The friends and family that were there to celebrate their marriage also helped make their day so special! Having already met many of them at past engagement sessions, wedding showers, and even some familiar faces from high school, it felt like one big party from the moment we arrived at Strathmere!! Thank you to all of you for being so supportive towards us and the couple and we hope you had fun celebrating long into the night!!

The Lodge at Strathmere…and a private ‘First Look’…two things I adore! Being there to document this moment was an absolute privilege!
This bride tribe tho!! It was a party from morning ’till night with these gals and I loved getting to know this incredible group of women!!
Inside the Strathmere Lodge, tables were decorated with white linens and a collection of ‘tumblers’ from Josh and Taylor’s travels!
One of my favourite things about the Strathmere Lodge is its access to the outdoor patio…I’ll finish off this post with this sweet moment of Taylor and Josh’s first dance outside under the string lights. Ohh to be back in that moment!!
Taylor, Josh!! Where to start?? When I say ‘you guys felt like friends from the very beginning’, I absolutely mean it! It’s hard to believe we’ve only known each other for a little over a year, as it really does feel like our friendship went from 0 to 10 from our first ‘hello’!! Looking forward to many more coffee dates at the Feline Cafe, to endless Snapchats of cats and babies, and to keeping in touch in this next season of life! Thank you for being the kind, loving and thoughtful people you are, who light up a room and spark joy in those around you! We love you and we feel so grateful to have been part of your wedding day!!
