Jen and Ryan met doing something I think most people secretly always wish they could have tried: speed dating! They describe their meeting as a ‘whirlwind experience’, complete with chatty personalities, predictable conversations, and the occasional eligible bachelor…but who could have known that speed dating at the Lago would ultimately lead to a marriage proposal in Paris and an upcoming wedding at Camp Fortune. These two have taught me that love can be found in even the most random of circumstances and that sometimes we have to reach outside of our comfort zones to surround ourselves with people who make us truly happy.
When planning this engagement session with Jen and Ryan, the question of ‘where to have the session’ was answered almost immediately as they told me about how and where they met. We decided to plan their session just steps away from where they were first introduced and to celebrate their engagement with the opening week of the Tulip Festival. Enjoy as you stroll through the Dow’s Lake Pavilion with us!

The park was filled with tourists, but these two didn’t seem to mind! They were total naturals in front of my camera.

As the sun dropped and the wind picked up, hugging became that much sweeter.

Jen and Ryan, thank you for braving the cool weather with me and for making it look so easy! I can’t wait to see you again in just a few short months and to celebrate with you at Camp Fortune! Happy wedding planning! x
