Engagements

Canadian Winter Engagement Photos in Carp

Cblackanadian Winters are not for the faint of heart. For 5 months of the year, we dress in warm layers, stay indoors when we can, and consider the ‘snow brush’ to be our ideal Canadian accessory. But despite it all, we embrace the season, knowing that come July we’ll be dreaming of powdered snow + and crisp Winter air. When Jamie and Jon told me they wanted to have their engagement session outdoors in the middle of Winter, they did so without hesitation. These high school sweethearts had journeyed their fair share of Canadian Winters together, and what better reason to cozy up to the one you love than a chilly outdoor engagement session.

We met up for their engagement session in Dunrobin, ON at the property of a family friend. There was no shortage of beauty to the acres of open land and maple forests that surrounded the family home.

The snow was easily five inches deep, but that didn’t stop Jamie and Jon from enjoying their time together!

Many thanks to Deirdre Stirling for bringing out hot cocoa and blankets when the chill started to set in. It’s these little gestures and her attention to detail that make me excited to see how she decorates Jamie and Jon’s wedding this May!

Though the drinks kept them warm, they kept cozy in each other’s arms…

This J+J inscription was a total surprise from the home owners to show their love and appreciation for the couple…what a gesture!

Jamie and Jon, you transformed this Winter engagement session from frosty to fabulous by simply being yourselves in front of my camera. I’m thrilled to be sharing this gallery with you and I’ll be dreaming of the warmer months when we celebrate your incredible Spring wedding at the Horticulture Building. Take care and enjoy these last few months of your time as an engaged couple!

Warmly, A.
