Herb garden wedding photos with a ‘sweet’ late night surprise!

It’s been ages since we’ve had the pleasure of photographing a Herb Garden wedding (heck, thanks to COVID, it’s been ages since we’ve really photographed any weddings at all!), but being back at this venue for Maddi and Josh’s wedding was an absolute privilege. Let me start off by saying how incredible these two are as human beings, and – having met most of their friends and family members now – I can truly say that this characteristic runs in the family! If I wasn’t 7 months pregnant and exhausted from the busy day, we might have even stayed later into the night to keep on celebrating with this amazing couple! This was one of our first times since lockdown seeing the re-birth of the dance floor, and man-oh-man was it good to see friends having fun together (in person) again!

On top of all that goodness from the couple and their guests being so incredibly awesome, there were about a dozen other things that made Maddi and Josh’s Herb Garden wedding one of my favourite days ever! First…they served popcorn at their outdoor wedding ceremony..and I’m talking movie-style popcorn! Who wouldn’t want to munch on this deliciousness while watching this sweet couple say their vows! Also, as a dog-friendly wedding venue, the Herb Garden let Maddi and Josh bring their two sweet puppies to the ceremony, where they walked down the aisle with the wedding party! There were also TWO surprise dances, an outfit change, and – perhaps my favourite surprise of the day – an ice cream truck that served ice cream sandwiches at the end of the night. So. Freakin’. Awesome!

I literally can’t get enough of this Herb Garden wedding, and if everything I listed above doesn’t make this one of the greatest weddings of all time, then check out that sunset we got at the end of the night.
