Private waterfront ceremony with golf course wedding reception at Loch March

These photos of Lindsay and Kyle’s Loch March Golf Club wedding (or as some like to call it ‘the day the weather couldn’t make up its mind’…more to come on this soon…) was a total dream to be a part of! Like so many other weddings in 2021, celebrating this wedding in the second summer of COVID felt – at times – like an impossibility…and the idea of a live band and a dance floor packed with people was an even crazier idea! But it happened, and mannn, does it ever feel good to see friends and family having fun together again!

One of the many reasons why I loved this wedding so much (in addition to the super sweet people in it!!!) was the location they chose for their wedding ceremony. Lindsay and Kyle got married on their private waterfront property with the most beautiful view of the Ottawa River. The couple stood on the end of their dock, in front a wood ceremony arch covered in greenery and pink and burgundy flowers, while their guests sat and witnessed from the shoreline. I should also note at this point that it felt like 100 degrees with the sun beating down on us in a bright blue sky…why is it important that I tell you this? Well, I kid you not, no more than 20 minutes after their recessional, the skies started to darken, the winds picked up, and a full fledged rain storm hit the region! By this point, most guests had already made their way to Loch March golf course for the wedding reception and hardly noticed the incoming storm! Sure enough, by the time we arrived at Loch March the skies were blue once again it stayed that way for the rest of the day (even giving us a sunset for sunset portraits at the end of the evening)!

I could keep typing on and on about all the things I loved about this wedding, but I hope that Lindsay and Kyle’s Loch March Golf Club wedding photos will tell that story for me! Enjoy and congrats again to the newlyweds!
