Being invited to Katie and Mitch’s Brockville wedding as their photographer meant the world to me! In all honesty, this day wasn’t just a typical work day for me, it was also a reunion with old friends, which made my experience of their day all the more special! I think that’s a pretty powerful theme of 2021 in general, where we’ve finally had the opportunity to reunite with friends and family again after months apart during the pandemic, and this day was that for me, and more! One of Katie’s bridesmaids is my childhood bestie (Carly it was sooo good to finally see you again!!) and I actually grew up calling Katie’s mum ‘Aunt Cindy’! Katie’s other bridesmaids were also her besties growing up, and Mitch had his brothers as his groomsmen that day too, which felt so right for this small, intimate wedding!

Katie and Mitch’s wedding in Brockville was filled with beautiful florals, a fully styled tablescape for dinner, homemade butter tarts (yum!), and a ceremony on a private dock overlooking the St. Lawrence. Also, I can’t forget to mention the fact that they planned this entire day in just a matter of weeks, which you would never have known otherwise. We got to see a lot of the behind-the-scenes as everyone worked so hard to make this day so special for Katie and Mitch, and things came together perfectly day-of with all their help!
